# What Is the Relationship Between Kuldeep Shekhawat and Rashmi Mishra?
Many members of the community have begun asking questions about the relationship between Kuldeep Shekhawat, former OFBJP UK President, and Rashmi Mishra, CEO of IIW Inspiring Indian WOMEN. The reason is simple: both have been the subject of controversy and both appear to publicly defend each other whenever criticism arises.
Most recently, Rashmi Mishra publicly supported Kuldeep Shekhawat when questions were raised regarding allegations of fundraising in the name of the BJP and following reports concerning the arrest of his son in a separate matter.
Now Rashmi Mishra herself is facing questions regarding transparency, accountability and governance within the organisations she leads.
NON UK RESIDENT: Despite not being a UK resident since 2019, she continues to play a prominent role in UK-based fundraising, community events and political activities while frequently travelling between India and the United Kingdom on a tourist visa.
ONE WOMAN BAND: There is no financial transparency,decisions relating to fundraising, sponsorships and expenditure remain heavily concentrated in the hands of one individual. She bullies any team member who asks her questions. She says” I am raising the money so I will spend the way I like”. She accuses others to be of jealous and insecure of her when they ask for accountability.
SHE INSPIRES AWARDS: Rashmi Mishra privately organises award ceremony held within the UK Parliament community rooms booked with the help of a local MP, FREE OF COST. Awards are promoted to believe these awards carry official parliamentary recognition. People are charged to receive the award, sponsors are asked to pay to get recognition in Parliament. All the money goes to her pocket that funds for her lifestyle.
REPUBLIC DAY EVENT: Republic Day event is held yearly where participants reportedly paid fees to participate and receive certificates presented in the presence of officials from the High Commission of India. High Commission of India does not charge any money to give out certificates and attends without having any knowledge of their name being used.
BOYCOTTED BY MPs’: Some elected representatives and MPs’ have publicly and privately distanced themselves from Rashmi Mishra’s activities, citing concerns about transparency, governance and reputational risk.
FUND RAISING: Community members are questioning about the use of bank accounts for collecting money on behalf of other community events and organisations, calling for greater openness about how funds are raised and spent. Rashmi Mishra seems to be an admin of every other community group and jumps to offer her bank details for fund raising collections and starts approaching the sponsors too. Completely hijacking the ideas and efforts of the actual organiser, making it look like her own event. No one finds out how much was raised and how much was spent.
FUNDS MISUSE: Funds are being misused for Rashmi’s travel between Indian and UK, Taxis, stay, dinners, publicity and personal promotion, while volunteers who contribute significant time and effort receive little recognition. A significant amount is being spent by her to pay different media houses to get articles published about herself. They are asked to buy tickets to attend events while Rashmi goes for free for bringing paid attendees.
FUNDED TRAVELS : While many ordinary UK residents with full-time jobs struggle to travel internationally more than once a year, Rashmi Mishra appears to travel frequently between India and the UK despite not being publicly known to hold conventional employment in Britain. Every 2-3 months she travels to the UK using the funds she collects.
MISUSE OF SANATAN DHARMA: She frequently uses Hindutva to mislead the community and use it to her advantage so that more people attract towards her fund-raisers. She is a divisive figure who uses any means to benefit herself.
Although Rashmi Mishra frequently speaks about women’s empowerment and community service, some former volunteers are questioning whether these initiatives have primarily benefited the wider community or enhanced her own profile, influence and visibility. Anyone who questions her is bullied, harassed and expelled from the groups run by her, she starts a war against that person to shut them down.
Recently due to a public uproar she had to step away from a community event from fund raising. She made a public post. More and more people are finding out about her way of oprating. It’s important she is mass reported to immigration for earning while of visit visa, participating in protests and organising events and helping with election canvassing.
Question remains, why Kuldeep Shekhawat is one of her most vocal defenders. Is their relationship simply one of friendship and mutual support, or is there a deeper connection that explains why they repeatedly come to each other’s defence whenever controversy arises? Is there is business deal? Financial partnership?
